Our Role
The OAML is the voice
of Ontario's community laboratory sector.
Our mission is to
promote professionalism, accountability and excellence in the
delivery of laboratory services in Ontario.
The
community laboratory sector is an essential component of Ontario's health care system. we work to support all aspects of this vital industry.The OAML speaks on behalf of the industry to government in
matters of health programs, policy and legislation.
We work with other health services providers and their associations
to effect positive change in the delivery of health care services
in Ontario.
We speak to practitioners through our Guidelines for Clinical
Laboratory Practice and our Communiqués,
ensuring that physicians and other practitioners who order
laboratory tests for their patients have comprehensive and
current information about laboratory testing.
